Description:
Ruby red with garnet highlights. On the nose, it is intense and variegated, with pronounced aromas of cherries in brandy and dried plums, embraced by floral nuances, toasted and elegantly spicy notes, with hints of chocolate and tobacco and a balsamic touch. On the palate, it is sumptuous, persistent and enveloping, with a good fruity freshness that allows fine, silky tannins to emerge, quite well integrated. A meditation wine or to pair with fine red meats and structured dishes, such as braised meats, stews, especially goulash, and stewed game. Excellent with very mature cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Monte Veronese d'Allevo, it is also interesting with high-quality dark chocolate.
Corte Bravi was founded in 2011 by brothers Andrea and Ivano Brunelli, who began the organic certification process in 2015. The vineyards, trained using the Veronese pergola system with a southern exposure on predominantly calcareous soils, are tended with the utmost dedication.
This limited-edition Amarone is produced using the traditional method: the grapes are hand-picked and left to dry in a drying room for three months, where they concentrate their sugars and aromas. Spontaneous fermentation is followed by a slow three-year evolution in French oak barrels, followed by a further period in the bottle.
