Description:

With an intense and brilliant garnet color and beautiful amber highlights, it releases notes of dried fruit such as walnuts and peanuts, dried figs, panforte, ripe plums, and caramel, with refined nuances of tobacco and spice. Viscous in the glass, it offers a surprisingly fresh sip despite its intense sugar content, soft and savory on the finish, with a very long finish.

The ten-year aging of this wine, during which more than half of the liquid component evaporates, according to a process refined by the Avignonesi family since the Renaissance, or rather the dawn of Vin Santo production itself, with a "mother" (the yeast) passed down through generations, gives us a work of art of rare elegance, so concentrated that it requires the same quantity of grapes, for half a bottle, used to produce 24 entire bottles.

Excellent with pastries as well as with blue cheeses and foie gras.
