Producer: Distilleria San Simone (Piedmont, Italy)
A handcrafted amaro using herbs harvested on the slopes of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The recipe includes over 30 different botanicals, with an infusion process lasting over 60 days. The final product is aged in oak barrels. Produced since the 1960s, based on the 1583 formula of the ancient Depurativo San Simone by a Turin confraternity of erudite monks, and initially sold only in pharmacies, it quickly conquered the mainstream market without any advertising.
