It represents an important chapter in the rebirth of absinthe in Europe, having been the first traditional absinthe to be legally distilled again in Paris after the 1915 ban. Its creation is the result of a collaboration between Marie-Claude Delahaye, curator of the Absinthe Museum in Auvers-sur-Oise, and the distillery, with the aim of faithfully recreating the absinthes of the Belle Époque. And not just in production: in addition to traditional 19th-century recipes using Artemisia absinthium (great absinthe), green anise, fennel, and other aromatic herbs, even the bottle is inspired by those used at the time, accompanied by the typical perforated spoon used for the ritual preparation with ice water and sugar to achieve the characteristic "louche" effect.
