Description:
A delicate and luminous straw yellow in color, it opens on the nose with characteristic aromas of the Mediterranean scrub. The bouquet is delicate and fruity, with notes of fresh citrus, aromatic herbs, and salty hints that evoke the proximity of the sea. On the palate, it is broad and balanced, with a light yet persistent structure characterized by a slight dominance of acidity that supports the freshness of the aromas and adds energy and vivacity. The finish is clean and savory, with a pleasant mineral aftertaste. Perfect paired with roasted fish, raw and cooked shellfish, lemon-flavored white meats, seafood appetizers, and pasta dishes with fish sauces.
The Marisa Cuomo winery represents the pinnacle of heroic viticulture on the Amalfi Coast, cultivating south-facing coastal terraces at altitudes between 200 and 550 meters on dolomitic-limestone soils. The vineyards are trained using the pergola and atypical radial system, with a density of 5,000-7,000 vines per hectare, ensuring low yields. The grapes are harvested by hand in the first ten days of October, followed by destemming, crushing, and soft pressing. The free-run must, after cold static clarification and inoculation with selected yeasts, ferments at 15°C for approximately 20-30 days, followed by aging for four months in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and varietal expression.
