The production process, which has remained unchanged, involves macerating bitter orange peels from the Antilles and sweet oranges from Brazil, both fresh and dried, in high-quality beetroot alcohol, which undoubtedly requires expert management of distillation temperatures to extract the perfect balance of essential oils. The result is a crystalline liqueur that owes its name ("triple sec") to its triple distillation and the absence of colorants. On the nose, it presents intense notes of orange blossom, candied zest, and a spicy undertone.
