Since 1906, the Massenza family has been distilling in the heart of Trentino: this grappa is produced from fresh pomace of Schiava, a historic grape variety in the Alpine region. The pomace is processed within 24 hours of racking to preserve its aromas and freshness, using a batch distillation process in direct-steam copper stills using the "narrow cut" method. The slow distillation and precise cutting of the heads and tails allow for only the purest heart of the distillate. On the nose, it is delicate with floral notes of rose and violet, as well as fruity hints of red berries. On the palate, it reveals the grape's typical elegance, with remarkable smoothness and a persistent, harmonious finish.
