Description:
It has a bright and transparent ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses elegant notes of ripe red fruits and violets with spicy, slightly balsamic hints of vanilla, undergrowth, and anise. Starred and coffee. On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, intense and textured, with exceptional freshness, silky tannins, and a lingering mineral and savory finish, typical of its terroir.
Chambolle-Musigny is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown organically on different parcels of the family-run estate. Not only was it one of the first vineyards in France to be awarded the AOC designation of origin in 1936, but it is also currently the only one in the area to have obtained organic certification, in 2008, after a process of approximately five years.
Once the grapes have reached perfect ripeness, they are harvested by hand and the traditional red winemaking process begins, with alcoholic fermentation occurring spontaneously in wooden vats in contact with the skins. The wine then ages for 18 months in French oak barrels, 20-30% of which are new.
