Description:
Pale salmon pink in color with copper highlights and a fine, persistent perlage, it offers notes of red berries, especially raspberry and cherry, with delicate hints of bread crust and a mineral touch. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with a good structure thanks to the saignée vinification method.
Maison Jacques Rousseaux, founded in 1776 in Verzenay, is one of the historic Champagne houses. Located in this important Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, the house is known for producing Champagnes of character, thanks in part to the predominance of Pinot Noir, a characteristic of this area. The "saignée" (bleeding) method, rarer and more complex than blending with red wine, gives this rosé a distinctive structure and complexity. It is also vinified in stainless steel after cold maceration of the ripest grapes, then aged on the lees for at least three years and given an extra-brut dosage.
