Description:
A brilliant gold with a fine and persistent perlage, the nose reveals a complex and profound aromatic profile, with notes of ripe fruit, baked apple, spices, and a distinctive hint of yeast and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, with a substantial structure supported by a vibrant freshness and a silky texture. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of dried fruit and spices.
The Special Cuvée represents the unmistakable style of Bollinger, a house founded in 1829. Vinification partly in small oak barrels and the use of reserve wines aged in magnums give this champagne its characteristic complexity. A distinctive feature of the house is the use of a significant proportion of reserve wines, some of which can be up to 15 years old, contributing to the richness and depth of the final blend.
