Description:
In the glass, it appears pale pink with peachy highlights. The bouquet is broad and sophisticated, intertwining scents of pink citrus, white peach, and apricot with accents of wildflowers, Mediterranean herbs, and a distinctive saline note. On the palate, it impresses with its crystalline finesse and the balance between freshness and creaminess. The well-defined structure is supported by a vibrant minerality that lends depth and length, culminating in spicy and white-fleshed fruit notes on the finish. Perfect with Provençal dishes such as pissaladière (a savory tart with onions, anchovies, and olives) and soupe au pistou, it pairs beautifully with shellfish and seafood, particularly oysters and grilled shrimp, as well as fresh goat cheeses. Excellent with socca (Provençal farinata) and pan bagnat (a typical sandwich from the French Riviera).
Château Galoupet, a Classé de Provence since 1955, is located on the Giens Peninsula, in a privileged position between the sea and the mountains that creates a unique microclimate. Recently acquired by the LVMH group, it has embarked on a process of conversion to organic and biodynamic farming. The vineyard, surrounded by pine forests and Mediterranean scrub, benefits from schist soils that lend minerality to the wines. This rosé is vinified with very gentle direct pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation, and aging primarily in stainless steel with a small portion in used oak. The winery has also implemented innovative sustainability practices, including the use of much lighter bottles made from recycled materials.
