Type: sparkling wine
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
Alcohol content: 12%
Bottling location: Epernay (FRANCE)
Description:
Produced exclusively from grapes sourced from Grand Cru villages and aged 12 years on the lees, this golden-colored champagne reveals a rich bouquet of almond and citrus, with hints of pepper and vanilla. The palate is refined and rich, with hints of butter and custard, remarkably fresh and saline, and excellent with any seafood pairing.
The Maison's most prestigious cuvée was created as a tribute to King Louis XV, who in 1728 promulgated the law that finally made it possible to transport champagne in glass bottles. A copy of the royal edict is included in the sales box, housed in an iconic bottle reminiscent of the classic decanters of the time.
