Description:

A clear ruby ​​red with garnet highlights, it offers a complex bouquet on the nose, opening with notes of red berries such as raspberry and currant, then evolving into scents of dried rose, undergrowth, and sweet spices, with delicate hints of humus and minerality. On the palate, it reveals an elegant and silky structure, with perfectly integrated, very fine tannins, supported by a vibrant freshness. The finish is extremely long and persistent, with a fascinating interplay of fruity, floral, and mineral notes.

Produced in the prestigious Grand Cru climate of Clos-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this wine represents one of the noblest expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini, combining Burgundian tradition with Italian sensibility, interprets this historic terroir with great respect for tradition: the result is a wine with remarkable aging potential, with the best vintages able to age in bottle for up to 25 years without losing freshness. After fermentation, the wine is aged in 25% new oak barrels for 18 months, during which time two rackings are performed to eliminate the fine lees.
