Description:

Bright straw yellow with greenish highlights. The aromatic profile is clear and varietal: tomato leaf, sage, passion fruit, pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is fresh and taut, with good structure and a savory finish that lasts throughout the drink. A long, citrusy and mineral finish with a dry and decisive elegance.
Excellent with asparagus, artichokes, fresh salads, fish tartare, shellfish, and goat cheese. It also pairs well with lighter ethnic dishes, such as ceviche, vegetable couscous, sushi, and sashimi.

Villanova is one of the oldest wineries in Friuli, established in 1499, and today focuses on a simple, clean, and regional production. The vineyards are located along the Isonzo River, on gravelly, mineral soils that lend freshness and clarity to the wine. Vinification in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, slow fermentation, and aging on fine lees enhance the varietal expression and preserve fragrance and aromatic precision.
