Grape variety: Riesling
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Bottling location: Rüdesheim, GERMANY
Description:
Bright straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it expresses intense mineral notes of flint on the nose, accompanied by aromas of white peach, lime, and delicate hydrocarbon notes typical of Riesling. On the palate, it displays a refined structure with a vibrant, perfectly balanced acidity. The finish is long and minerally. Ideal with smoked fish, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses, it also pairs well with spicy Asian cuisine.
The Berg Rottland vineyard, one of Rüdesheim's most prestigious, is characterized by its steep terraces on slate and quartz soil, with a southern exposure that guarantees perfect ripening. The vines have an average age of 45 years. Vinification is traditional with spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The wine ages on its lees for 12 months before bottling.
