Description:

Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it offers aromas of green apple, citrus, and intense mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry, with crisp acidity and an elegant structure. The finish is long and savory. It pairs beautifully with seafood, baked fish, and fresh cheeses.

Weingut Prinz is one of the historic wineries in the Rheingau, run by the Prinz family for three generations, with a focus on sustainable viticulture and a special focus on biodiversity. The Hendelberg vineyard, with its 40-year-old vines on quartzite and slate soils and its 400-meter altitude that favors slow and complete ripening, is one of Hallgarten's most prestigious crus. The grapes are harvested by hand, with meticulous bunch selection. Pressing is particularly gentle and lengthy (up to 4 hours) to extract only the finest must. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in small steel tanks, keeping the parcels separate. Aging on the lees lasts 8-10 months in steel tanks, with periodic bâtonnage.
