A special creation celebrating the ancient Piedmontese distilling tradition (the name itself, "Oltre il Vallo," symbolically evokes the transcendence of grappa's traditional boundaries). This spirit's distinctiveness lies in the use of pomace from different Piedmontese grape varieties, each distilled separately in copper pot stills using the direct steam method. Aging takes place in a unique combination of barrels: first in French oak barriques for six years, followed by a 12-month refinement in ex-Scottish whisky barrels, an innovative technique pioneered by the Berta family to further enrich the aromatic profile with a peaty, smoky note.
