Created in 1985 to celebrate the three Berta brothers, it is produced exclusively with pomace of Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo from the finest producers in the Langhe, following an ancient method: the pomace is distilled very slowly (about 5 hours per batch) in pot stills heated in a bain-marie, allowing for a gradual and complete extraction of the aromas. It is aged for a minimum of 6 years in 225-liter French oak barrels, personally selected by the Berta family. The barrels are stored in the characteristic underground cellars, where the natural temperature and constant humidity promote optimal maturation. The aromas of dried roses and truffle typical of Nebbiolo are enriched with hints of vanilla, cocoa, and sweet tobacco.
