Description:
Ruby red in color with purple highlights, the nose is broad and complex, with intense sensations of berries and spices that blend perfectly. On the palate, it is intense, full-bodied, and persistent, where the structure of the Syrah elegantly marries with the indigenous character of the Cesanese. Ideal with red meat dishes, game, pasta with ragù, blue or aged cheeses, but also with spicy dishes and Mediterranean stews.
Produced in the mineral-rich volcanic soils of the Castelli Romani, where L'Olivella has been organically cultivating 12 hectares of vineyards since 1986, this wine is born from the expert blend of two varietals that best express the characteristics of the Lazio region. The winemaking process respects the unique characteristics of both grape varieties, enhancing the local ampelographic heritage through the addition of an international variety, Syrah. L'Olivella, founded by the passion of Puglian Umberto Notarnicola and Piedmontese Bruno Violo, finds in this blend the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, creating a wine that represents the contemporary evolution of Castelli Romani winemaking.
