Description:
A deep gold color with amber highlights, it offers a complex nose of dried fruit, acacia honey, beeswax, and noble oxidative notes. On the palate, it is broad and structured, with remarkable complexity and unexpected freshness. The finish is very long with mineral and salty notes. Ideal with Lebanese dishes such as kibbeh and hummus, as well as with aged cheeses and mushroom-based dishes.
The grape varieties used are native to Lebanon: Obaideh and Merwah are grown on very old vines at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level on Mount Lebanon. The uniqueness of these grape varieties lies in their ancient origins and their connection to historic Mediterranean varieties. The wine is made using traditional methods, fermenting in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for nine months in used French barriques, followed by six years of bottle aging before release.
