Description:
Garnet red in color with orange highlights, it offers a varied bouquet on the nose, ranging from ripe red fruits to oriental spices, leather, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is broad and structured, with mature tannins and remarkable aromatic complexity. The finish is very long with spicy and mineral notes. It pairs perfectly with traditional Lebanese cuisine, especially spiced lamb and game. It is also excellent with aged cheeses and truffle-based dishes.
Chateau Musar, founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, is one of the most fascinating names in the global wine scene. The vineyards are located in the Bekaa Valley at 1,000 meters above sea level, on calcareous-clay soils. The distinctiveness of this wine lies in its natural production, with almost no technical intervention: vinification follows ancestral methods based on spontaneous fermentations in concrete, followed by 12 months of aging in used French barriques and a further four years in bottle before release.
