Description:
Intense straw yellow that veers towards amber, on the nose it enjoys great complexity and definition, from notes of pastry and gooseberry that blend with chalky and citrus tones and an undertone of dried fruit, while on the palate it strikes for its intensity and generosity, with a very fresh and extraordinarily balanced flavour.
Produced in the easternmost part of Franciacorta, in the Gussago subzone characterized by limestone soils, this Pinot Noir is vinified as a white wine by Nicola Gatta, a winemaker whose production philosophy is based on the pursuit of authenticity and respect for the terroir. Low yields, abstention from chemical additives, and a focus on perfect maturation of the grapes according to biodynamic principles are among the hallmarks of Gatta's production, which continues in the cellar with spontaneous fermentations without fining or subsequent filtration. The zero dosage and the presence of almost 30% "vin de reserve" make this wine a feast of sensations for lovers of the classic method. Previously, it also bore the label "70 lune," indicating the months spent on the fine lees after secondary fermentation in the bottle.
