Description:
The ruby red color with intense garnet hues announces the alcoholic power of this wine, whose incredibly broad aromatic bouquet combines scents of wild rose, red fruits, wood, tobacco, and mint, with smoky and balsamic overtones. On the palate, it is warm, rounded, and structured, enveloping with the finesse and persistence of its tannins. It offers a long and complex finish, with lingering spicy and earthy notes. It pairs excellently with rich red meats and aged cheeses.
An atypical and characterful Barolo, perhaps the richest and most powerful from the Monvigliero hill—the most famous cru in the municipality of Verduno—thanks to slow maceration on the skins with a submerged cap for about 40 days after fermentation and aging in second-passage barrels for 30 months. Ready to be enjoyed four years after its vinification, it is a wine capable of developing significantly over the years.
