Description:
Ruby red in color with garnet highlights, the nose offers aromas of red fruit such as currant and raspberry, reminiscent of fresh, floral notes of rose and geranium, accompanied by delicate spicy nuances. On the palate, it is assertive and linear, with silky tannins and a long finish that expresses the elegance of the Currà cru. A powerfully distinctive wine, an authentic expression of a terroir ideally suited to Nebbiolo, it pairs excellently with red and white meats, aged Piedmontese cheeses such as Castelmagno and Bra duro, game, and Langhe specialties such as braised and roasted meats.
In 1958, the Rocca family purchased Cascina Rabajà, located in the heart of the renowned Barbaresco cru of the same name, a prime terroir for Nebbiolo. The Currà cru has been owned by the Rocca family since 2001 and represents one of the purest expressions of the company's philosophy. The winemaking process respects the rhythms of Nebbiolo, with aging for 12 months in barriques and 12 months in large French oak barrels , preserving the varietal elegance and territorial expression of the prestigious Currà cru.
