Description:
Garnet red in color with orange highlights, it offers a complex and profound bouquet of dried roses, violets, ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and balsamic notes, along with classic hints of undergrowth, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is austere and elegant, with well-integrated tannins, great structure, and persistence, characterized by the typical savory and minerality of the Serralunga d'Alba terroir.
The Schiavenza winery, founded in 1956 in Serralunga d'Alba, is one of the historic Barolo wineries. Its name derives from the ancient "schiavenza," a building that housed seasonal vineyard workers. The production philosophy has remained rooted in tradition, with long macerations and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, to preserve the most authentic expression of the terroir.
