Description:

Bright reddish-brown in color, it strikes the nose with a pleasant blend of dried fruit, walnuts, toasted almonds, and figs, with notes of caramel, honey, and a subtle hint of sweet spice. On the palate, it is sweet and velvety, with a freshness that perfectly balances the sweetness, lending elegance and drinkability. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of notes of dried fruit and spice. Delicious at the end of a meal with dessert, especially chocolate.

Niepoort, founded in 1842, is one of the most prestigious Port wineries, still family-run today. "The Senior" is a Tawny Port that has been aged in oak barrels of various sizes for approximately seven years, an aging process that gives it its characteristic amber color and complex aromatic profile. This Port's distinctive quality lies in the perfect balance between the freshness of the fruit and the complexity derived from aging in wood.
