Description:

Ruby red in color with garnet highlights, the nose presents a more evolved aromatic profile than the 2022 vintage, with notes of ripe red fruits, balsamic nuances, and hints of spice. On the palate, it stands out for its structure and balance, with full, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and persistent. Excellent with rich Portuguese dishes such as braised beef, game, and aged cheeses, it is particularly suited to "alheira," a traditional Portuguese sausage.

Wine & Soul is a winery founded in 2001 by Jorge Serôdio Borges and Sandra Tavares da Silva, representatives of the new generation of Portuguese winemakers. The Manoella vineyard, located in the Vale de Mendiz, is one of the oldest in the region, with vines over 70 years old. The winemaking process follows the house's traditional process, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and subsequent aging for 12 months in second- or third-use French oak barrels to preserve the freshness and character of the fruit. The wine comes from the same historic vineyards as the 2022 vintage, but this one, characterized by a warmer summer, produced grapes with greater concentration and phenolic maturity.
