Description:
Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it presents a marine and Mediterranean aroma with notes of Mediterranean scrub, aromatic herbs, saltiness, and citrus. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with a pronounced minerality that reflects its proximity to the sea, a lean yet persistent body, and a long finish with herbaceous and iodine notes. The unique location of the vineyards, just a few meters from the sea on sandy soils, gives the wine unique characteristics of savory and freshness. It pairs perfectly with raw seafood, oysters, sea urchins, fried fish, mullet roe, and fresh pecorino cheese. Excellent with Sardinian specialties such as pane carasau with tomato and basil, fregola with clams, and bluefish dishes.
"Renosu" means "sandy" in Sardinian, a name derived from the sandy soils of the vineyards located in the Romangia valley, just a few meters from the sea. Alessandro Dettori, having left his career as a broker, created this line using grapes that didn't make the selection for the Badde Nigolosu crus. The company's philosophy rejects pre-harvest chemical analyses, relying solely on instinct and experience, which is why the alcohol content varies each year. Vinification occurs naturally and entirely biodynamically, without technological intervention, in concrete tanks that allow for micro-oxygenation and the pure expression of the sandy, marine terroir.
