Description:

An "antique gold" color, as described by the producer, with amber highlights, it presents a multifaceted aromatic spectrum, from hints of pine, honey, and chestnut to salty notes of underbrush and damp earth, butter, and ripe apples. The palate is smooth and maintains the same complexity, with hints of coffee and tobacco and an intense savory flavor that lingers on the finish, blending with the characteristic bitter almond. A wine best enjoyed with dry pastries, Sardinian pecorino, and blue cheeses, or even better on its own.

Among Sardinia's most renowned grape varieties, this Vernaccia enjoys special attention during winemaking: it is aged in overflowing chestnut barrels to promote oxygenation and the consequent formation of the flor veil. The barrels are housed in well-ventilated cellars so that the aromatic structure can adapt to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
