Designation of origin: Sicilia DOC

Grape variety: Grillo
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Bottling location: Partinico (PA) ITALY
Description:
Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it presents an intense bouquet of citrus, white flowers, and the mineral notes characteristic of Grillo. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with good structure and a lingering finish of citrus and mineral notes. Excellent with raw seafood, baked fish, and seafood pasta dishes, it is also perfect with fresh cheeses and vegetarian dishes. It pairs beautifully with classic Sicilian swordfish.
The vinification process takes place entirely in stainless steel at a controlled temperature to preserve Grillo's varietal aromas. The grapes come from the high-hill vineyards of the Presti e Pegni estate, where the altitude and sea breeze create optimal conditions for the ripening of this particular grape variety. (The winery also owns vineyards in various areas of Sicily, each chosen for its unique characteristics.)
Cusumano is a story of family and innovation. Founded in 2001 by brothers Alberto and Diego, the company quickly established a prominent position in the Sicilian winemaking scene thanks to its uncompromising respect for native grape varieties combined with cutting-edge winemaking techniques, especially those aimed at sustainability (solar energy and water conservation in the vineyards).
