Description:

It displays an intense, deep ruby ​​red color with garnet highlights. The nose reveals a complex and refined bouquet, where notes of ripe red and black fruits intertwine with hints of sweet spices, dark chocolate, and a delicate balsamic touch. Elegant nuances of tobacco and leather, due to the aging process, are also discernible. On the palate, it is rich and structured, with perfectly integrated, velvety tannins. The freshness balances the alcoholic strength, while the long, lingering finish reveals notes of black fruits, spices, and an elegant minerality.

The Ferdinand winery, located in the Brda region on the border with Friuli Venezia Giulia, benefits from a unique microclimate where sea and Alpine winds meet. The marly-arenaceous soils, locally known as "Opoka," give the wines a distinctive minerality and complexity. L'Época represents the finest expression of the winery's red wines, produced only in the finest vintages.
