Description:

A beautiful, bright ruby ​​red, it presents a balanced bouquet of ripe red fruits, especially cherry and blackberry, and fig, with notes of vanilla, sweet spices, tobacco, coffee, and a balsamic touch from the oak aging. On the palate, it is structured and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant freshness. The finish is persistent, with a return of fruity and spicy notes. Ideal with grilled red meats, roast lamb, stews, and Spanish dishes such as cordero asado. It also pairs very well with medium-aged cheeses, Iberian cured meats, and legume-based dishes such as lentejas.

Produced primarily with Tempranillo and a small percentage of Garnacha, from vines from three different locations—Place de los 3 Marqueses, Las Canteras, and Santa Ana—aged between 20 and 30 years, grown at 470 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils. After initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels (traditionally American oak in Rioja), as required by the Crianza appellation. The 2021 vintage was characterized by a good climatic balance that produced quality wines.
