Description:
Straw yellow with golden highlights and a sophisticated and complex bouquet, ranging from buttery notes of custard to ripe exotic fruit, with hints of candied lemon peel and an elegant nuance of bourbon vanilla. On the palate, it displays character and personality: the silky texture envelops the sip with notes of yellow peach and pineapple, while the citrus freshness expertly balances the smoothness provided by the oak. The long and harmonious finish gives way to delicate toasted notes and fresh hazelnut.
This wine is the fruit of a meticulous selection of Chardonnay grapes grown on the clayey, fossil-rich soils of Castello della Sala (an area renowned for the estate's excellent white wines). Part of the must ferments in French oak barriques, where the wine then ages for several months, while the other part is vinified in stainless steel to preserve the varietal's freshness and aromas. The final blend creates a perfect balance between structure and fragrance.
With over 600 years of history, the Antinori family is one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian winemaking dynasties: since 1385, through 26 generations, the family has always directly managed the winery, combining tradition and innovation to best express the territory, from Chianti Classico to Umbria.
