Description:
In the glass, it appears garnet red with beautiful ruby highlights. Generous and robust on the nose, with warm, vaguely balsamic aromas of undergrowth and smoky nuances.
In a classic interpretation of its genre, in the mouth it maintains all the depth and mineral intensity combined with a velvety tannin, excellently balanced and long-lasting.
From the first vineyard planted in 1965 by the Bartolommei family, called "Vigneto Madre", the shoots are still taken today to plant in the new vineyards, and from that moment on, the winemaking process has been left to its natural course as much as possible, also thanks to the windy and temperate climate at 300 meters above sea level which allows for minimal human intervention (i.e. only copper and sulfur in contact ), allowing the climatic and environmental peculiarities of each individual vintage to best express the territory. The malolactic fermentation is left with indigenous yeasts, in cement for 3 weeks, followed by aging for 36 months in Slavonian oak and finally for 4 months in bottle.
