Description:

A vibrant and concentrated ruby ​​red in color, the nose offers intense aromas of wild plum and dried cherry, dried flowers, and white moss, with earthy nuances of sweet wood and undergrowth. On the palate, it is clean, flavorful, slightly spicy, with strong character and firm yet very elegant tannins. It is velvety, with a pleasant savory finish and a very long finish, "unmistakable and unparalleled in tone and sincerity," according to the producer's notes.

The vines, over 25 years old, the Guyot training system (which allows for optimal plant nutrition even in less fertile soils), and the south/southeast exposure on calcareous soils rich in marl (which guarantee ideal water drainage) at 450 meters above sea level favor the perfect ripening of the bunches, which are harvested by hand and then left to age for 30 months in oval oak barrels and another 12 in the bottle. It pairs excellently with traditional Tuscan meat dishes and salmi-based main courses.
