Description:

A beautiful, intense ruby ​​red with elegant garnet highlights, the nose presents a complex and refined bouquet of ripe red fruits, violets, tobacco, and sweet spices, with balsamic notes and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it displays a substantial yet perfectly balanced structure, with noble, silky tannins that support a full, harmonious body. The finish is very long and persistent, with elegant returns of ripe fruit, spice, and mineral notes.

Le Macioche, a small estate of approximately 6 hectares located in the southwest area of ​​Montalcino at approximately 400 meters above sea level, stands out for its precision viticulture and respect for the terroir. The winemaking process follows traditional methods, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and lengthy maceration on the skins. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for at least 36 months, followed by a further period in the bottle. The 2004 vintage, considered among the best of the decade, produced wines of extraordinary elegance and longevity.
