Description:

It displays a deep ruby ​​color with garnet highlights. The nose unfolds with an elegant interplay of ripe red fruits, Mediterranean herbs, and balsamic notes: blackberry, myrtle, and eucalyptus blend with hints of tobacco and leather. The palate is sumptuous, characterized by silky, perfectly integrated tannins that support a full but never overpowering body. The palate unfolds with impeccable balance, revealing layers of dark fruit, sweet spices, and a touch of bitter cocoa. The long and harmonious finish leaves a lingering sensation of berries and licorice.

Le Macchiole, founded in 1983 by Eugenio Campolmi and Cinzia Merli, is now considered one of Bolgheri's leading wineries. A pioneer in the area, the winery stands out for its focus on international varietals such as Syrah and Cabernet Franc, interpreting them with a distinctly territorial approach.
