Grape variety: Marzemino

Description:
A deep ruby red color with purple highlights, it offers a distinctive and enveloping bouquet of intense berry notes, particularly blackberry and blueberry, complemented by nuances of violet and light spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is soft and velvety, with delicate, well-integrated tannins. Its freshness is balanced, offering a pleasant and persistent finish. Flavors of ripe red fruit are evident, with an undertone of bitter almond typical of the grape variety. The finish is long and slightly spicy, with a persistent almond note. Ideal with pasta dishes with meat sauces, grilled red meats, roasts, and medium-aged cheeses, it also pairs well with traditional Trentino dishes such as stew or rabbit stew.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by a few months of aging in medium-sized oak barrels, a process that preserves the freshness of the fruit while giving the wine a certain complexity.
The Salizzoni winery, located in Vallagarina, an area renowned for producing Marzemino, boasts a long tradition of cultivating this native grape variety. The volcanic soils, rich in basalt, on which the vineyards are grown give their wine its characteristic minerality.
