Description:
Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, it offers delicate aromas of hazelnut, as the grape's name suggests, accompanied by hints of very fresh dried fruit. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and mineral, with a pleasant acidity that balances the smoothness and a clean finish with hints of toasted hazelnut and almond. It pairs excellently as an aperitif, with fish appetizers, raw shellfish, fresh cheeses, delicate pasta dishes, and white meats. Perfect with Trentino specialties such as strangolapreti, carne salada, and local cheeses.
Nosiola, the only remaining native white grape variety in Trentino, is a grape of great historical importance for the region, also excellent for producing passito wines. Pojer and Sandri cultivate this grape on the hills of Faedo at altitudes of 300-400 meters in the Coveli and Pra Grand areas. The winery uses screw caps, a primarily ecological choice to avoid cutting down cork trees, a decision that demonstrates their commitment to sustainable practices. Vinification involves soft pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, which preserves the aromatic freshness and varietal character. This wine represents the most authentic expression of this Trentino grape, which Pojer and Sandri have helped promote since the 1970s.
