Description:
A clear, transparent ruby red in color, it offers persistent aromas of berries, strawberries, and raspberries, along with delicate spicy notes typical of Pinot Noir. On the palate, it offers a perfect nose-palate correspondence, with lovely density and a generous flow, along with delightful blueberry notes, a well-chosen viscosity, and impeccably clean finish. It is a delicate and very elegant wine, with light tannins and a pleasant freshness. It pairs splendidly with game birds, red and white meats, roasts, tuna tartare, smoked salmon, and semi-mature cheeses. Perfect with traditional Trentino dishes such as polenta and mushrooms, speck, and canederli.
Pojer and Sandri's Pinot Noir comes from vineyards located in Faedo, in the Rocol area, at altitudes between 300 and 700 meters above sea level. They are planted with Italian and French Burgundy clones on vines over 25 years old. Annual production is approximately 20,000 bottles. The winery uses screw caps, a primarily ecological choice to avoid cutting down cork trees, demonstrating a concrete commitment to environmental sustainability. Vinification involves manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation at controlled temperatures in large steel tanks, followed by aging in large oak barrels, respecting the varietal delicacy of Pinot Noir. The result is a wine that expresses the elegance of the Burgundian grape, interpreted according to the mountain terroir of Trentino.
