Description:

A bright ruby red with pink hues, it presents an intense and distinctive bouquet of rose hips, raspberry, wild strawberry, and lychee, with notes of sweet spices like cinnamon and cloves, and a touch of honey. On the palate, it is sweet but not cloying, thanks to a fresh acidity that perfectly balances the sweetness. The finish lingers with floral and fruity notes. It pairs perfectly with traditional Trentino desserts such as strudel or selten, Christmas cakes, shortbread cookies, and dried fruit. It is also excellent with aged, creamy, and blue cheeses, and Gorgonzola.

Moscato Rosa is one of the rarest and most prized grape varieties in the Alpine region, grown in small quantities in Trentino-Alto Adige. Cantina Zeni produces this wine using a unique method: the grapes are harvested partly in September and left to dry in a drying room, and partly left to dry on the vine until November. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and racked into steel vats for alcoholic fermentation. After about ten days, the wine is drawn off to ensure a significant amount of natural residual sugar. Malolactic fermentation is omitted to preserve the acidity, which is key to the complexity of Moscato Rosa's typical aromas.

The history of the Zeni winery began in 1882 when Roberto Zeni opened a tavern near the bridge over the Adige River and bottled his first Teroldego, made from a few vineyards in the "Pini" area. Over the years, the family purchased additional vineyards and expanded production, reaching a total of 20 hectares of vineyards and producing approximately 200,000 bottles. The current structure dates back to the mid-1970s, when brothers Roberto and Andrea Zeni founded the Azienda Agricola R. Zeni and the Zeni Distillery.
