Grapes: Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Merlot, Montepulciano
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Bottling location: Montefalco (PG) ITALY
Description:
A deep ruby red with garnet hues, the nose offers notes of red fruits, spices, and a distinctive balsamic hint of undergrowth. On the palate, it is balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a refreshing freshness that supports its structure. Perfect with flavorful pasta dishes, such as braised or stewed red meats, including pork and pheasant, it also pairs well with pasta dishes such as ravioli and risotto.
For four generations, the Napolini family has run the eponymous winery in the heart of the Montefalco DOCG hills, from cultivation to sale. This wine is left to macerate on the skins for approximately 18-20 days, then aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months. It then ages in the bottle for approximately six months.
