Description:
Bright straw yellow with greenish highlights and a fine, lively perlage, it has an intensely aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of orange blossom, white peach, sage, and citrus, with a delicate touch of honey. On the palate, it is sweet but not cloying, with a delicate effervescence that enhances the sensation of lightness and harmony. The finish is persistent, with a return of citrus and floral notes. Perfect with traditional Venetian dry pastries, particularly Easter fugassa, zaeti, and pinza. It pairs beautifully with fresh fruit tarts and cream-based pastries. It is also ideal as a dessert wine, particularly with almond and fruit-based desserts. Locally, it is also served as a sweet aperitif, accompanied by small savory pastries.
The La Montecchia dei Conti Emo Capodilista estate, located in the heart of the Euganean Hills, boasts a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Fior d'Arancio, made from Moscato Giallo grapes (known locally as Fior d'Arancio for its distinctive floral scent), is one of this historic winery's signature wines. The grapes come from vineyards located on volcanic soils, which impart minerality and freshness. After gentle pressing, the must ferments in pressure tanks using the Charmat method, stopping fermentation when the alcohol level reaches approximately 6.5%, thus preserving some of the grapes' natural sugars and their characteristic effervescence.
