Description:

An intense ruby ​​red color verging on garnet, it presents a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, black cherry in alcohol, and plum, with notes of sweet spices, dark chocolate, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is sweet and enveloping, with elegant tannins and the lively acidity typical of Raboso that balance the sweetness. The finish is long and persistent.

Villa Canthus produces this unique passito using Raboso del Piave, a native Veneto grape known for its pronounced acidity and tannic structure. The grapes are harvested late and left to dry for several months in ventilated drying rooms, where they lose some of their water and concentrate sugars, aromas, and polyphenols. After gentle pressing, the must ferments slowly, and the wine ages in oak barrels for at least 24 months. The result is a passito with a unique character, combining the typical sweetness of this variety with the distinctive structure and freshness of Raboso.
